On the First Thursday of every month, the shops along South Congress stay open until about 10:00 p.m. Most of the businesses on the strip go all out for the event, with sales, drink specials, and discounts. It’s a big ole party!
In addition to the brick and mortar spots, local vendors set up on the sidewalk. You can find anything from handcrafted jewelry, art, and clothing to unique Austin artifacts. Musicians often play along the street as well.
South Congress Hotel usually has a party going on with live music, drink specials, and more!
Parking can be a hassle, but it’s totally worth the effort.
